What to do if you Smell Gas

Most people are familiar with the distinctive "pungent odor" aroma added to propane gas. We add this odor so that it's easy to detect.

  • Don't smoke or light matches.
  • Call 911.

If the odor of gas is strong, don't use your telephone. All occupants should leave the building immediately. Then call 911 from a neighbor’s phone or mobile phone.
