Our Hearts Are Caring.

We are more than your energy and water provider. Just like you, we love and care for our family, friends, neighbors, and communities. Whether we are serving food, donating money, or starting programs for less fortunate people, the care we put forth (both inside the office and out) is embedded in our caring hearts.

Supporting Local Community Organizations

Liberty is a proud supporter of local organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club. With caring hearts, Liberty regularly donates to the club and our employees are ready to volunteer for an event or help educate the children.

Most recently, Liberty’s Sierra Vista employees participated in three events over the summer of 2024, reaching over 90 kids. Liberty volunteers spent hours teaching subjects like the water cycle, water conservation measures and benefits, and where water comes from. In the final session of the summer, Liberty spent time with high school students and focused the learning on various job opportunities at Liberty or other utility providers, highlighting the various career opportunities.

Pine Bluff Team Supports Women’s Shelter Drive

When Tameka Williams was asked if she might be interested in helping to coordinate and gather donations for a local women’s shelter in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, she didn’t hesitate to say yes.

“Liberty has always had a relationship with the shelter, but this was my first time volunteering to work with them,” says Williams, Liberty Customer Service Representative. “I always enjoy being involved in the community and letting them know we’re here to help.”

Since it was established in 1982, the Committee Against Spouse Abuse (CASA) has provided emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence in Pine Bluff. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it also offers food, shelter, counseling, support groups, legal advocacy, and more.

To meet the needs of those staying at the women’s shelter, Williams and other Liberty volunteers put together gift baskets filled with items the residents would need. In total, they assembled 12 baskets filled with hairbrushes, combs, pillowcases, pillows, body wash, shampoo, and other necessities. In addition, they also collected $240 in monetary donations to present to the shelter.

Liberty Employees Team Up to Care for Our Communities

What happens when team Liberty pitches in at the local food bank? More than 12,250 pounds of food get boxed and ready for families in need!

Feeding The Valley is an Interfaith Action Food Bank in Columbus, GA. Our Columbus employees gladly rolled up their sleeves to "Fight Against Food Insecurity”. In just a few hours, they helped pack more than 11,000 meals for residents in and around Columbus.

While they were packing meals, our friends in the North Country, upstate New York, hosted a color run in collaboration with Massena Central School District. More than 100 people participated, which led to $1,840 being raised for the St. Lawrence County Suicide Awareness Coalition, a local organization that works to cultivate a resilient community by providing education, training, services, and support in order to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in St. Lawrence County.

And in Massachusetts, the team hosted its third annual charity golf tournament to raise money for the Fall River Chapter of the American Cancer Society. We are still awaiting the total amount raised this year, but here’s hoping it surpasses the 2023 total - a grand sum of $11,244.87.

At Liberty, giving back to our communities is not something we have to do, it’s something we get to do.
