May 5-11 is National Drinking Water Week! |
Water is a precious natural resource that life depends on. It is essential to our health and the health of the environment, yet we often take it for granted. Let’s face it, when we turn on the tap, we expect water to be there, whether we’re drinking it, cleaning with it, or cooking with it.
This year, Liberty is recognizing Drinking Water Week May 5-11. This week serves to remind us of the vital role that water plays in our daily lives, and the work that is necessary to delivering it to our homes and businesses.
Liberty employees work hard so that, when you turn on your tap, you have the quality, reliable drinking water service you expect, right at your fingertips. Our local teams work day and night, taking water samples, maintaining infrastructure, or making repairs in the event of a service emergency.
You may not think about your water that often, because it is there when you need it, but this week, we encourage you to think about the ways water benefits your life.

Water is there when we need it, and not just for drinking. Water is also vital for bathing and washing clothes and dishes. It is a key ingredient to our economy and communities - restaurants, schools, healthcare, manufacturing, shopping centers – you name it, it needs water. Let’s not forget how much fun water can be. As summer approaches, water will be a big part of summer fun. We can’t wait to jump into a swimming pool!
In celebration of Drinking Water Week, let’s do our part to appreciate this vital resource and work to conserve it so the next generations can appreciate it, too!
