That’s why we’ve created a variety of programs to help you learn new skills, connect with others, and take your career to the next level. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your leadership abilities, we’re here to support your development every step of the way. Learn about some of the development opportunities Liberty offers.  

Culture orientation program 

As you begin your journey with us, you will be invited to attend our New Employee Culture Orientation, where you'll learn more about… 

  

  • Our Company: How we operate as a pure play utility, why we operate the way we do (our stakeholders), and 2025 priorities and goals.  
  • Our People: How YOU make a difference (types of goals we have, how we achieve these goals – safety, guiding principles, inclusion, and belonging). 
  • Our Impact: How we measure progress (one Liberty scorecard, goal setting, and year-end reviews). 

 

Radiant leadership program 

At Liberty, our philosophy of Radiant Leadership is rooted in our guiding principles and the belief that effective leadership begins with self-awareness, self-command, candor and inclusivity. Through our Radiant Leadership Curriculum, we strive to empower each employee to lead with authenticity, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose. We are committed to building leadership competencies in everyone, recognizing that there are leaders at every level. 

Radiant leaders are not just effective in their roles; they are purpose driven, value centered and motivational. It's our belief that heart-led leadership generates a positive impact, boosting team spirit, sparking creativity, and playing a significant role in the organization's success. 

All employees are invited to sign up for and participate in training sessions.

Interconnect program 

The Interconnect Program is one of our most unique development programs and is linked to our Guiding Principles and Employee & Leader Behaviors. We encourage this program to grow and strengthen our employees’ understanding of daily tasks needed to keep our organization running smoothly.  
 
Program participants have the opportunity to shadow their colleagues in other departments during work hours—gaining essential skills and knowledge that help them to effectively collaborate and make better, more informed decisions in their day-to-day work.  

 

Tuition reimbursement program 

The Tuition Reimbursement Program supports our employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives. This is accomplished by providing tuition reimbursement for education and learning to positively impact the development of our people. All active regular and full-time employees in good standing who have completed 100 days of service can apply. 

 

Reverse-mentorship program 

Our Reverse Mentorship Program redefines mentorship by pairing co-ops/interns with senior leaders. In these collaborative partnerships, both parties share skills, ideas, and experiences, creating a space for growth and new perspectives. Co-ops/interns offer insights into emerging trends and technology, while senior managers share valuable experience and knowledge. 

 

Ambassador program 

The Liberty Ambassador Program invites current employees to play a key role in sharing our company’s culture and showcasing our job opportunities. 

As a Liberty Ambassador, you'll become an enthusiastic advocate for Liberty, participating in events to promote our values and open positions. By joining, you’ll help attract and engage potential candidates, assess talent, and contribute to building our team. 

Joining the Liberty Ambassador Program is flexible—you can choose events and activities that fit your schedule and participate as much or as little as you’d like. 

 

Diversity partner events 

As a Liberty Ambassador at diversity partner events, you’ll have the chance to represent our organization at impactful gatherings like panel discussions, workshops, and conferences. Share your experiences, connect with talented individuals, and showcase our commitment to an inclusive workplace. Your involvement helps build bridges, empower voices, and strengthen our brand. 

 

Performance development 

At Liberty, we believe it is important that we take the time to discuss—openly and honestly—our wins, our challenges, and how we’d like to develop our career. By having these conversations, we are building stronger, more aligned people and teams, who have a clear purpose and who feel empowered to make a contribution. Our annual Performance Development Cycle integrates ongoing support, feedback, and evaluations to facilitate employee growth that aligns with the company’s goals.
