Application Process

We are looking for the best and brightest candidates in their field. Have you found an opportunity that appeals to you? Read this section to learn more about Liberty Utilities’ application and hiring processes.


Create an account

Creating an account within our application system will allow you to log in to our system and submit and save an application to any Liberty and Algonquin career opportunity.


Apply Online

Apply to each Job Opening that interests you. You will be asked to create and log in to your account. Simply fill out the questionnaire and submit your resume. A cover letter is optional.


What to Expect

Interview process

We will carefully review each applicant’s qualifications. Should we be interested in moving forward with your application, we will contact you for a phone interview. If you are not selected for an interview, you will be notified through our system, Applicant Stack. Successful candidates will be asked to meet with us for an interview. We do our best to keep the number of interview visits to a minimum. Depending on the position, you may be asked to participate in an assessment.



If you have been successful in our interview process, the next step will be to submit your references and partake in a clearance process. The clearance process will include a criminal background check and may include drug screening (for our US locations only).
